DermLite Foto

Foto X is the universal dermoscopy lens that fits on virtually any digital SLR camera, point-and-shoot compact camera, mirrorless, even a smartphone, and outperforms our long-lasting DermLite Foto in most cases.

Housed in a durable CNC-machined aluminum unibody and built around the proven optics of the previous model, the Foto X offers both polarized and non-polarized illumination at the push of a button, four brightness levels and a power indicator at 4 levels. Perhaps best of all, it has its own built-in Li-ion battery that provides runtime equivalent to that of the previous model, eliminating the external battery pack. Foto X can also be charged during use, allowing infinite operation at one of three lower brightness levels.

The new, extremely strong bayonet spacer design, with its removable glass faceplate, allows for rapid non-contact ("semi") and uniform dermoscopy with the tray removed: Reduce contact with skin outside the periphery of the site of the lesion a particularly useful capability when imaging vascular structures where the slightest local pressure could alter the appearance of the lesion.

To aid institute infection control measures, Foto X is compatible with IceCap™, single-use covers that simply snap onto the unit's plate spacer.

Foto X can be attached to your camera or smartphone either magnetically (using any of our MagnetiConnect™ adapters) or via the standard 37mm threaded connection, allowing for the continuous use of compatible camera adapters to output DermLite Foto.
