Veinspy portable vein detector

VeinSpy™ is a portable device to facilitate visualization of veins in adult, pediatric, geriatric, obese and dark-skinned patients with difficult venous access.

It is based on transverse illumination technology: light beams from a circular array of LEDs penetrate the skin and act as a light source to obtain deep illumination of the subcutaneous tissues.
The veins in the illuminated area absorb the light and stand out as dark lines.

The VeinSpy™ device consists of two sets of colored LEDs: one set emits orange light optimal for superficial veins, another set emits red light to find deeper veins.

How to use VeinSpy™

1- Clean the patient's skin area with an alcohol swab
2- Insert VeinSpy™ into the disposable sheath and turn on the device.
3- Move VeinSpy™ transversely and forward to obtain a clear view of the specific vein
4- After visualizing the vein, move the device so that the needle can be inserted easily
5- Gently press VeinSpy™ onto the vein, insert the needle into the vein through the open end of VeinSpy™
