The DermLite DL5 Plus is a high-end portable dermatoscope designed to offer advanced dermoscopic assessment with high optical quality and greater efficiency in the clinical workflow. It retains the strengths of the DL5 platform, such as the premium 32 mm lens , true 10x magnification , and the ability to work with polarized and non-polarized lighting , but introduces a series of concrete improvements that extend its performance.
Compared to the DL5 , the DL5 Plus offers substantially brighter illumination in all modes and a more than twice as bright 365nm UV mode, designed to improve the visualization of fluorescence, pigment contrasts and subtle findings. This is complemented by an enhanced PigmentBoost® with 9 levels of color temperature and the ability to seamlessly switch between cross-polarization and parallel polarization , allowing skin structures to be observed at different optical depths.
The true evolutionary leap of the Plus model also lies in the digital part: for the first time, DermLite integrates a dedicated app for a complete workflow for acquisition, comparison, follow-up, and case organization. The MultiShot function also allows you to acquire polarized and non-polarized images with a single touch , reducing operational steps and making work faster than the standard DL5.
